Pemba is a fabulous and beautiful untouched paradise; it experiences only a tiny fraction of the visitor traffic of neighboring Zanzibar Island. Pemba is renowned for its remote beaches, remote islands and some of the best diving and snorkeling locations in the Indian Ocean. The island is surrounded by coral reefs which makes it an ideal snorkeling location.
Apart from enjoying the beaches, snorkeling and diving in the ocean you call also visit the Ngezi Forest which is home to a species of bats known as Pemba flying fox. You can also visit historical ruins of a 13th-century Swahili town in Pujini and the ruins of Ras Mkumbuu.
